As Internal Auditor within our Risk Advisory team, you will play a pivotal role in assessing and improving the effectiveness of internal controls, risk management, and governance processes for our clients. Your expertise will help organizations safeguard their operations, comply with regulations, and achieve strategic objectives.
You will work closely with experienced professionals on diverse projects, including Internal Audit, Internal Control, Third-Party Assurance, and Risk Management. This position is based in our Zaventem office, where you will join a dynamic team of 50 specialists in Belgium.
What will you be doing?
As an Internal Auditor, your key responsibilities will include:
- Plan, execute, and report on internal audit and internal control engagements across various industries.
- Assess business processes from a risk and control perspective, identifying gaps and improvement opportunities.
- Coordinate and review work performed by junior colleagues, ensuring quality and timely delivery.
- Lead client meetings and interviews, acting as a trusted advisor.
- Draft and review audit reports, providing clear, actionable recommendations.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously, meeting deadlines and client expectations.
- Mentor junior team members, fostering their professional growth.
- Drive innovation by introducing new ideas and methodologies in audit execution.
- Support business development through proposal writing and participation in networking events.
What do you bring to the table?
- Master’s degree in Business Economics, Finance, or equivalent.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in Internal Audit, Internal Control, or Risk Management.
- Strong knowledge of COSO Framework; experience with SOX is an asset.
- Excellent communication skills in Dutch and English (French is a plus).
- Ability to manage multiple tasks independently and effectively.
- Skilled at simplifying complex concepts for clients.
- Familiarity with audit tools and emerging technologies (AI is a plus).
- Ownership-driven, pragmatic, and a strong team player.
- Willingness to travel within Europe and internationally when required.
